With such few notes, it still manages to hit those citrusy, woody, and powdery notes that make it an understated cologne that smells like Light Blue. The notes are simple, clean, and gentle – none of them overpowering the fragrance. But that’s exactly what I love about this scent: If you compare that list with the notes for most other perfumes I review, you’ll notice how uncomplicated it is. Finally, the base notes are made up of cedar and musk. In the middle, we have jasmine and apple tree. The top notes consist of lemon and hyacinth. La Rive, however, knows exactly what it’s doing. I actually really appreciate this, because most perfumes overcomplicate their composition in a way that doesn’t work or smells overpowering. Our next perfume is super simple, in terms of scent, notes, and bottle design. The bottle is also adorable and matches the green, summery vibes of this perfume perfectly. However, since it’s not a very pricey bottle, that might not be much of a problem. I’ve definitely had to reapply every few hours when I’ve used this perfume. One downside of this Light Blue knockoff is that the longevity isn’t the strongest. It’s very bright and natural, and perfect for younger perfume lovers. While this scent has musk, it’s definitely less powdery and musky than Light Blue. Cedar, amber, and musk make up the base notes. In the middle, floral notes of peach blossom and jasmine add gentle femininity to the fragrance. The top notes are citrus-heavy, with bergamot, lemon, green apple, and tagetes. A lot of the notes match, making this perfume smell like Light Blue while still maintaining its own individual twist with a fresh spicy and energetic kick. Next up, we have a floral green fragrance by Yves Rocher. Similar in terms of: Floral fragrance with similar citrus notes.
